Sunday Morning Training
A group of runners meet at the Water Sports centre in Ferry Meadows on Sundays at 09:45 for a 10:00 start. The group is split into two with a slow group and a faster group. The former run for 30 - 45 minutes and the latter for 45 - 60 minutes. The terrain is varied and its not a plod but a variety of hill efforts, sprints etc with regrouping and recovery. Afterwards its into the cafe for tea, hot chocolate, bread pudding, flapjack and bragging about how little training you've done and how fast you're going. Obviously when the Frostbite races are on this run doesn't happen.

We have now booked the following sessions at Stanground Leisure Centre with Wendy Gooding.
TUESDAY's from 16th October 2007 8.30 to 9.30 pm CIRCUIT TRAINING. Sean Beard is leading these session's. Cost is £2 per person for an hour's session.
THURSDAY's from 18th October 2007 7.30 to 8.15 pm SPINNING CLASSES with Wendy Gooding instructing. Max of 20 bikes. Times can be adjusted
at a later date if we want. Spinning lasts for 45 minutes. There is also a gym there if members want to use it. Cost is £2 per session for spinning. If we can get our own coaches qualified in spinning then we can use them, so if anyone is interested, let us know. That will give us 21 bikes ! Wendy will take the classes in the meantime.
The Fenland Clarion are also coming in with these sessions, so hopefully the sessions should pay for themselves. Only the first 20 people there for spinning get to play. We can always adjust the sessions or the timing as we go along, if people feel that it is too late, or too crowded etc, or would prefer real turbo's for real men in a real Prebendal barn!
To get to the Stanground Leisure Centre, head from Stanground Fire Station RAB towards Farcet, and it is the 3rd minor turn off on the left.
Don't forget, we also have access to the running track in Peterborough on a Tuesday and Thursday night from 6.45 to 8.15pm for those that have joined Nene Valley Harriers as Associate Members.
